I can’t even make it 4 hours without my phone dying so how the h*ll am I supposed to make it a full shift? There’s a lot of stuff surrounding this app that isn’t right, and it’s stupid we are forced to use it. The last thing I will mention is that this app kills batteries. If they can see my location so can other people. It’s also NOT okay for the customer to know my exact location. This is not okay, this should be illegal. When I did that the app refused to let me open it until I turned location services to “always on.” I’ve woken up before to see that the app was using my location overnight. The app said I only needed to have locations turned on when using the app. Logging in the first time was a pain as well. It shows in one tab that i have already taken the delivery when I just walked out the store door. Every time I open the app to look at my delivery it says I have no deliveries even though I just routed out. First off, the app is horrible at keeping track of your deliveries. That’s all I can say that’s good about the app. Let’s start off with the fact that this app has some cool features, like tracking your tips or not having to type in an address (sometimes it’s still wrong though). I think the company forcing employees to use this app not taking into account personal/financial circumstances is unjust. With all of my observations using the app and getting feedback from fellow drivers my biggest complaint about this whole thing that this app should be OPTIONAL for the driver. Being able to prioritize the order in which deliveries are taken through the app (After dispatch from the store) would be convenient. Technical issues with the app open while your phone is connected with Bluetooth for calls or music can be annoying. Also, if the driver made a mistake with entering tips through the app and manager doesn’t catch it could be a headache for the customer, employee and/or store. Im currently 1 hr into a 2 hr wait and didnt want to bother the workers since I knew theyd probably be busy. Thanks for the tip This just answered the question for me. They dont tell you until you place it, and it can be hours. Delayed orders from technical issues and even more distracted driving are a result for some. If anyone sees this in the future, check the delivery time in your email. I know it’s almost 2020 but some drivers just aren’t as tech savvy as others. Some employees might know their town or city very well and don’t use gps. Reimbursement for most having to change data plans or get a new phone is next to nothing. However, not everyone has the same phone with the same capabilities as others. An “Ok” tool to have once you figure it how the app works. Not having to waste time typing in addresses into your gps(for most orders) and tip tracking can be pretty nice. Please remember our jobs rely on this app. If you force us to use it make it work properly. This is really inconvenient when you are timed on your deliveries.I do appreciate the one tap directions and calling but it’s not enough. I’ve tried refreshing the app, I’ve tried closing it, and I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing fixes the issue. Another problem I have is when I clock out the delivery and get into my car, the app says I don’t have any deliveries and won’t load any until I either turn off my whole phone or wait like 5-8 minutes until it realizes I have an order. Again annoying but not that big of a deal I guess. By then I either forget or just don’t even save it. Even if I’m in an area with great service it will still say “Unable to load tips.” sometimes for hours. Also, it prevents me from entering my tips once an order is complete. Not really a big deal but pretty annoying. I constantly am logged out of the app when I haven’t even clocked out. Well Dominos has done their job in getting our attention with the pizza tracker….This app has the potential to be useful and innovative but it isn’t. Lather up the sunscreen, kick back, and enjoy this marketing masterpiece: Dominos has since added a Caribbean-flavored version of the pizza tracker which colorfully relays your information via a cartoon parrot and a beyond stereotypical Caribbean male voice-over. Comments on that tracker “theme” have ranged from “racist” to simply “creepy.” At the time of this post, 21% of voters deemed the execution of that tracker “theme” to be offensive.īut alas, there are multiple theme options for your pizza tracker. As previously reported, one of the customized options contains a voice-over reminiscent of an after hours R&B disc jockey who somehow manages to uncomfortably sexualize the pizza making process. J– Recently we discovered the mesmerizing technology that is the Dominos Pizza tracker – a seemingly well-meaning animation that gives you the customer real-time updates about your order.
